Can my husband and I claim our daughter who is 19 and lived with us for 10 months in 2008?

She did make $5138 in 2008 at her part time job. She was married in October and moved in with her husband but he did not claim her on his taxes he just did for 2008. He was told since she lived with us for 10 months he couldn’t claim her. I was going through Turbo Tax and they said we could not claim her. Help!

write off any receipts i get?

i just got my first job after graduating in june and i’m saving up for a car. i want to keep track of my money so i can do my own taxes when it comes around so i installed Intuit Quicken Home & Business and turbotax so i can keep track of everything. i don’t know anything about taxes which is why i’m using this software to keep up with everything but i was wondering about what receipts i can write off. i know you can write them off but all of them or certain kinds. for example if i go to walmart and buy some batteries, candy, and some socks (lol just random things), and buy a burger at burger king, do i keep those receipts too? can i write off ALL of my receipts or only certain kinds?

Can you have your tax refund wired directly to your bank account using Turbo Tax?

And can you have it done the next day or would I have to go to H&R Block for that?
I just don’t want to have to pay H&R Block another $400.00 this year just to get my taxes back the next day after I file.
So am considering Turbo Tax and can anyone help me whose ever used it before?
Charles we file EZ Form every year with no back taxes oweing or anything except claiming our son as a dependant.
It only takes H&R about 7 minutes to do our taxes every year so I don’t know why using Turbo Tax would be taking a risk for us when we don’t owe anything and don’t have any deductions.
We don’t itemize or anything like that like allot of people do.
I guess being poor does have it advantages eh?
